GOOGLE EARTH TEXTURES

About a year ago, I spent evenings flying around in Google Earth checking out landscapes and capturing cool textures. Outside of being enjoyable, I figured they might be useful as inspiration for concept art, for reference or simply nice as desktop backgrounds.

Then I totally forgot all about them… until now!

There are 50 images @ 3200×1600 each for Australia, Egypt, North Africa & North America.
All are 3200×1600 PNGs.

Being Google Maps, you can’t use their map data for commercial work without attribution, how-ever the terms also include “…research, education and nonprofit use without needing permission.”
